Pond Life

It's a unanimous decision that ABS needs a pond stocked with frogs, turtles, fish, birds, and bugs! Our study of the life cycle of a frog has everyone wanting to catch one and investigate the little amphibians up close and personal. We started with frog eggs that hatched out into tiny little tadpoles over night. Every day the tadpoles grew and grew until we could no longer take care of them sufficiently and they had to be returned to their home pond. On June 4th we'll be visiting their home at the Audubon Nature Center in Huntington and hope to see them in their froglet stage as well as see some of their froggie parents.

Meanwhile we'll sharpen our persuasive writing skills and get some letters out to administration, school board, and town officials about that much needed pond!
